Safe Sprouts Workshops
Safe Sprouts is committed to delivering the highest quality education, and we ensure we adhere to the highest ethical standards at all times. The terms and conditions detailed below are designed to ensure we provide all our prospective customers with accurate information. This demonstrates our commitment to delivering full transparency across all operations.
The Safe Sprouts workshops are non-accredited. Currently there are no accredited courses in Australia for specific Baby & Child First Aid for parents and caregivers. Safe Sprouts workshops will only be run by Registered Paramedics with the Australian Health and Practitioners Regulation Agency.
Workshops
The workshops offered by Safe Sprouts are designed to provide participants with paediatric first aid knowledge and skills. Training does NOT constitute a medical qualification. Safe Sprouts accepts no responsibility for the subsequent actions of any individuals who complete this course of study. First aid training involves moderate physical activity, including demonstrating CPR on the floor. Safe Sprouts does not accept any responsibility for any harm suffered as a result of participating in the training provided.
Course Cancellation
Safe Sprouts reserves the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for a course. Under these circumstances, Safe Sprouts will endeavour to provide notice of the cancellation to participants and will arrange an alternative session for participants to attend.
Payment
For Safe Sprouts public courses, we require the full payment before training. For private courses, we require a full payment upfront (charging for a minimum of 10 participants); however, organisers will be able to add additional participants up to the training date and will be provided with an invoice to do so.
Cancellations, Refund Policy, Transfers to Alternate Courses
Notifications of cancellations or requests for a course transfer must be made to Safe Sprouts prior to your anticipated course date. We understand that the unexpected can happen, and we will do our best to find an alternative course date for you to attend! However, any cancellations within 14 days of your booking will unfortunately result in forfeiting the entire fee. This is because we will have turned away other bookings at the time that your booking was for. We encourage you to contact us as early as possible to see if we can assist with rebooking or transferring your booking to another person.
We reserve the right to cancel any order or booking for any reason in our absolute discretion without any liability to you. Where we do so, we will refund any amounts paid by you for the affected booking or product(s).
We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations if such delay is due to any circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If your course is cancelled due to current government restrictions you will be rescheduled into a future face to face workshop, no refunds will be provided.
Preventing The Spread Of COVID-19
The safety and well-being of those attending our classes is always our priority. We are actively monitoring the coronavirus situation and taking steps to help keep the community safe.
We have taken appropriate safety measures to ensure our participants are safe and reassured during training.
Good hygiene can prevent infection, which is why we are doing the following to adhere to this changing situation.
All parents and caregivers will be briefed on infection control as part of the session, including:
- Hand hygiene
- Cough etiquette
- Social distancing
We will also be ensuring that:
- Manikin face skins will be removed and disinfected after each training course.
- Participants will wipe manikins down with disinfectant wipes before and after use.
- Manikins have disposable airways and these will be disposed of and replaced after each workshop.

Your learning with us doesn't finish the moment you leave our workshop. We are with you all the way!
Say no to overwhelm, and hello to confidence:
We appreciate that it can be overwhelming to try and learn about every single injury and illness in only 4 hours. This is why we have since modified how our workshops are run. Join us for 3.5 hours of face to face learning. Then learn the less complex topics such as fractures, bites & stings, cuts & scraps in an online format. This allows us to focus on the more serious topics such as CPR, giving you plenty of time to practise and perfect those skills, and ask in depth questions. It also means we can add so much more content to the online modules, so you are totally prepared for every situation!
Lifelong support at every stage of your parenting journey:
At Safe Sprouts, we understand that all of our families are on different stages of their parenting journey. You may be pregnant, or you may be ready to start solids. This is why we have introduced our "Monthly Meets" where every month, you can join us online for a live Q and A on a different topic. We will always be available to answer your questions, for years- even after your workshop!
We are also in the process of getting all our content online into mini courses, which you will have access to in your Safe Sprouts library. Content at your finger tips, any day and any time.
What are you waiting for?
