Yes, we warmly welcome young babies at our workshops! Babies who are not yet mobile (such as newborns or those not crawling) are wonderful companions during the session.

For mobile babies (such as crawlers or toddlers), we’ve found that they can sometimes become restless or upset due to the length of the workshop and the need to stay in one place. Additionally, for safety reasons, having mobile little ones in the room during practical demonstrations can sometimes be challenging. For this reason, we recommend arranging care for mobile babies if possible.

That said, we completely understand that breastfed mobile babies may need to attend briefly for feeds, and you’re more than welcome to bring them in as needed. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate you and ensure you feel comfortable.

Most first aid courses are built for adults, with little focus on babies...if they cover them at all.
Our course is designed specifically for babies in their first 12 months, teaching you how to recognise and manage the unique emergencies and illnesses that happen in this stage.

It’s not just first aid, either. We cover vital safety topics like child restraints, baby-proofing, and starting solids- because prevention is just as important as knowing how to respond.

Plus, all our content is online and regularly updated, so you’ll always have the latest advice at your fingertips- no outdated handouts needed.

We used to try and fit all the above content into a 4 hour course. 

However, we found that this was very overwhelming for parents, and we weren't able to allocate the appropriate amount of time each topic deserved.

Our goal is for you to actually absorb what we share with you; not try and rush through a million different topics in one session!

We use the in-person workshops to really focus on specific areas such as CPR and choking, ensuring it is in a relaxed environment where you are not rushed, and there will be plenty of time to ask questions.

The online modules are for the less hands-on type topics. 

Nearly all topics from the in-person workshop are available in your online library now too, so you can refresh what you have learnt at any time!

Finally, we follow it up with LIVE quarterly masterclasses/refreshers to keep supporting your on your journey for the next 12 months. We understand that the questions you have around baby first aid when you are pregnant are completely different to the ones you will have 6-9 months later when you are about to start solids! We will be here to support your journey at all stages of infancy 🧡

After your in-person workshop, you will be sent a link to access you online library.

You can view all the modules/videos on your computer, but you can also view them on an app in your phone! Perfect for those 2am feeding sessions 🙌

We only teach to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This is the peak governing body of all things resuscitation in Australia.

For illness treatments (e.g. fevers, croup) we teach to the Royal Children's Hospital Guidelines.

For transport safety, we follow the National Child Restraint Best Practise Guidelines (2021), produced by KidSafe and Neuroscience Research Australia.

For water safety, we promote the Royal Life Saving Society Australia recommendations.

For allergy and starting solids information, we follow the recommendations outlined by the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA).
